The impressive entrance, smooth multi lingual reception and overall quality immediately promise a most pleasant stay. The location right by the lifts is an extra bonus, though nowhere in the village is far from the skiing. The size and standard of the public rooms and cuisine do distinguish this hotel .The spacious and most comfortable lounge, with waiter service, ensures a quiet and pleasant evening. On the other side of the reception is the very professional bar that seems to stock all known drinks. The hotel amenities include an excellent indoor pool, Jacuzzi and sauna.

Twin bedroom and large bedsit lounge (two beds - beds put away each day by the maid) with a dining area. Rooms have a solid wood partition which can be opened. This is a truly magnificent hotel. We would not want to stay anywhere better! The recent investment in the health spa has given the hotel exceptional facilities. The bedrooms are spacious and luxurious. The lounge is comfortable, quiet with a discreet waiter service. Superlatives aside, it is the cuisine that sets this hotel apart. Breakfast is offered as a two-tier buffet holding various muesli, fruits, compotes, Danish pastries, cheeses, cold meats, boiled eggs and a wonderful selection of breads. If this is not sufficient, there is a hot cooked dish available. Hopefully, a good day’s skiing will justify the after-ski tea treat. This is a large selection of sweet and savory dishes; all you need to buy is a drink. The major offering is dinner which is composed of three courses with choice plus a splendid salad bar, sorbet course and cheese.

This delightful three-star hotel is situated in the heart of the village, next to the Murren funicular and opposite the station for the train to Wengen and Kleine Scheidegg. Owned and run by the von Allmen family. The spacious dining room is elegant and maintains the warmth and character of the original building. There is a lounge, comfortable, individually designed bedrooms; a friendly traditional stubl which is the hub of local village life. The breakfast always includes hams, cheeses, cereals, fruit and much more. Evening meal consists of four courses, plus a large, colourful salad buffet. The Silberhorn offers an excellent base from which to explore this big area.

It is situated in the old town square which has remained the same for over 200 years. All the bedrooms have bath/shwr and wc. A full breakfast and traditional four course evening meal are included. Good French wines at very reasonable prices are offered. The hotel offers exceptional value for the quality. The cuisine really is first-class and deserves more than its 2-star category. The owner’s son is a chef, who does great justice to French cooking. Don’t forget to allow for the excellent cheese course.
