Alpe d'Huez
Ecole du Ski Francais is an excellent ski school in the resort for all standards of skier, all taught in English.
Lessons are 2 1/2 hours per day for 6 days, prices at approximately £52, bookable in resort.

For private lessons or small groups we recommend Stuart Adamsons & Mel Mallen,s Masterclass. This is an English ski school based in Alpe D'Huez, that is fully licenced to teach in France. Stuart & Mel visit the Chalet-Hotel Bel Alpe on the first evening of your holiday where you can discuss your requirements with him after the welcome meeting. This school is fully recommended and has been very well received by our guests over a number of years.

The hiring of high mountain guide is strongly recommended if you want to explore the off piste skiing safely. No need to be a fantastic skier providing you can ski a red run comfortably, you will have a very enjoyable and and unforgettable day. There is immense off piste opportunities behind Pic Blanc, you can even use a helicopter to get in even more runs and the cost of this can be as little as £30.
A group of 6 spreading the cost for the day, comes out at about £25 each - strongly recommended.

EurekaSKI has an impressive reputation in the valley for instruction using a style ideal for modern equipment. Director Gavin Crosby, a skier so well qualified that even the French can't stop him working, offers British ski coaching to all our guests.

Gavin has earned an excellent reputation with guests, progressing beginners faster than most schools, getting intermediates off that plateau and making a significant contribution to the technique of even the best skiers. It is recommended that you pre-book on info@eurekaski.com although Gavin does visit the chalet-hotel Charlotte on Saturday evening.

We also recommend an off piste expedition with a senior instructor or an off piste guide for the vast off piste terrain adjacent to the lifts or alternatively visiting La Grave, the worlds number one off piste resort. For a visit here we strongly recommend a fully qualified mountain guide.
