If the family rooms are all sold we may be able to offer a twin or double room with a Z-bed, this does take up space but we offer up to a £250 reduction for the Child.

Chalet-hotels with family rooms.

Chalet-hotel Bel Alpe in Alpe d’Huez has 3 quad rooms and 2 triple rooms; these are perfect for families as the rooms have 2 separate sleeping areas allowing parents and children privacy.

Chalet-hotel Charlotte has one room for 6 which consists of a super large room which contains a double bed, 2 single beds and a small separate room with a full size bunk bed. There is also 1 quad and 1 triple room.

Chalet-hotel Salana has 2 quad rooms, with 2 full size bunk beds and 1 triple room.

Chalet-hotel Tannenberg has 1 room for 5, which has 2 separate rooms, 1 with 1 bunk and a single and 1 with 2 twin beds.

Chalet-hotel Rosa has 4 quads which have 1 full size bunk bed and either 2 twins or a double and 1 triple.

Chalet-hotel Alta Vista has 1 quad and 2 triple rooms.

Childcare is important and complicated

We do know the resorts and the experience of our guests using childcare so we can give accurate advice as well as special reductions for carers who travel with the group.

CHILD CARE

Well behaved children are always very welcome on a Ski Miquel holiday, an earlier evening meal is offered to parents if this is what they would prefere for their children.

However, Ski Miquel does not provide a dedicated nanny service for young children, all ski schools in the resorts do take young children. The company’s experience is that the right age to start is between four and five, success of course depends on the child.

The company must make it very clear that the responsibility for the welfare and enjoyment of a young child is strictly that of the parents, the company is delighted to provide the best possible information, sources of more information and every assistance with advice in resort.

The company strongly advises parents with children under five to take along a friend or relation to act as child carer, or alternatively, if they are a group, to plan to take some of the time of the holiday to look after the little children. Ski Miquel is very pleased to prepare a special price for a guest who is going along to just look after children, rather than to ski.

Alp d’Huez and Baqueira do have excellent care facilities for young children.
